View EPG grid from home screen

I have a list item 'TV Guide' within a list of screens on my home page. Currently there is an <onclick> that takes you into the tv guide window as defined in MyPVRGuide.xml. Is it possible upon scrolling to 'TV Guide' in my list that the EPG grid alone from MyPVRGuide.xml could be visible? This is a skin I have inherited and did not myself from scratch, so do not know it inside out. However, with other items in the list on my home page there are appears to be controls mapped as some sort of parameters, that then appear as parameters within <item> tags.

Is it possible to make the EPG grid visible within one of these parameters?
