My brother is developmentally disabled and I'm making a very stripped down estuary mod for him to use to watch his different shows since VCRs are getting difficult to come by. I have made this successfully in 2020 with a LibreElec build in Kodi 18.5, but now that I'm making another one for him (for a different room) some of my modifications aren't working like they used to.
Any ideas how I would remove this area here in the red box so that he's stuck in this video view and unable to navigate out of it.

I've already figured out how to disable the settings box by disabling <onup>9000</onup> and <ondown>5199</ondown> in the view_51_poster.xml.
Here's a little more information on my project if you're interested. I have a F300 arcade stick and basically my brother is capable of using the joystick to navigate left & right and he knows the big movie is the selected movie. One button is play/pause and one is stop. And that's the entire scope. One page of scrolling movies, no way to go back to other screens or get stuck anywhere else. Boots directly into the videos screen.
